•Degree or Diploma in apparel/textile design, merchandising, or related field with minimum 10 years apparel or textile industry experience, in a garment manufacturing environment.
•Sound knowledge of apparel sourcing and how it fits into processes and events from product concept to delivery [critical path management]
•Hands On knowledge of Merchandising Management systems and QA / QC procedures
•Must have worked in foreign apparel company or agent handling sales and manufacturing supply base in China all areas covering all genders
•Track record of People Management / Sourcing for Clothing/ Footwear / Home Textiles. Price negotiations skills are essential
•UK Catalogue or High Street knowledge preferred
•Good understanding of apparel construction, material construction and properties, textile manufacturing, costing, pattern making, embroidery and screen-printing |
